This is an interactive soundmap of 5th Ave, New York. It is an exploration of my own sonic interpretation of the 5th Ave in the city of New York. 5th Ave acquires substantially different characters in each district along its path from south to north including:

• Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village
• the heart of Midtown
• Eastern side of Central Park
• Harlem River

From 125th Street to Washington Sq Park, a total of 34 ambient sounds (4 streets per sound) had been sampled along the 5th Ave. Each distinct district is represented by a musical scale of F, G, A, B, C, D.

Each time when the users pressed the according key on the keyboard, such as "F", the corresponding sound will be triggered.
